Pissed they are the worst

They lied about the rewards I was going to be able to use then when it came time to my fiancé and I to use the rewards on our wedding bands they gave us such a hard time so I ended up returning everything and asked for the all my money back. Then they tell us we can't have our own money for 10-14 days WTF now I'm getting married in 18 days and we don't have rings or our money. I hate them shopping with them only created so much stress. We are now ***, thanks Beldens jewelry for your lies and you holding our money hostage. the diamond also had a chip and they told me it was like a birth mark for diamonds. Are you serious. Worst ever i want to cry. :(

Belden Jewelers - Ring Repair Review

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I feel I have to preface this with saying I've worked in retail/customer service and I'm not easily angered because I understand things happen. That being said, i have had so many issues since the beginning with Belden. First, there was super unclear information about a promotion that was going on when we first went wedding band shopping. It did not work in our favor despite my husband and I hearing the very same thing from the staff, but we accepted it and moved on. We got my wedding bands there in 2014. I have had to have diamonds replaced two different times because they fell out. Pretty sure that shouldn't happen, but whatever. First time I get it fixed and returned, I notice one diamond is discolored. They tell me it was like that when I gave it to them (meaning it wasn't even the diamond they replaced) and showed me a magical note on the paperwork that noted this discolored diamond before sending it in. There was never any communication about this prior to them taking it for repairs. Their archaic system of hand writing everything is disorganized and annoying and if they were trying to cover their *** with this note, it should have been discussed with me. I wear these rings everyday and look at them everyday. I know what they look like. There was not a discolored diamond. But their "documentation", I didn't fight it. Today I go to pick up my repair and now there is a huge black spot visible in one of the diamonds. The lady acted like she had to go see it under the microscope when I, not a diamond connoisseur, could blatantly see it with my eyes. I'm almost positive it is also again, not the diamond that needed to be replaced, as oddly enough, its next to the discolored one and I would have noticed that. So she tries to tell me that that's the diamond that was replaced and that the very visible black spot doesn't devalue the ring. Uh, ok. I left the rings there and a manager will be calling me. I am going to strongly consider trading my bands in and buying new ones from a different jeweler.. It's such a headache every time.

Belden Jewelers - Charged for repairs not done
I brought in my grandmother's wedding ring (it's over 90 years old, she passed away, so this is all I have left from her) on July 18 to the store in the Rockingham Mall in Salem, NH. The ring needed a stone replaced and prongs redone. The ring was due back on August 5. It didn't come in on August 5 and nobody could bother to call me and tell me. I went in on August 12 and was told the ring repair was not done to the store manager's satisfaction so she took it upon herself to send it back without ever contacting me or letting me know there were issues. I was told by a different sales clerk that the store had actually LOST my ring. The store manager was going to call the repair shop to see when it would be back and would call me back later that day. She never called me back. I went back to the store on the 15th late in the day and she was waving my ring around in a bag yelling into the mall to me "Look what I have", like it was a prize and she was so proud of herself. She never apologized for not calling me back stating "You got your ring so what's your problem." I refused to sign the pick up slip saying the ring was repaired properly. When I got home, the ring was much worse than I dropped it off. Mind you, this was my grandmother's wedding band and very sentimental to me. I called the District Manager right away to tell her of the issues. After over a week, I filed a complaint with the BBB. Signet Jewelers, who owns Beldens, stated they had no idea there were repair issues with my ring and they were giving me a $100 in store credit as an apology. I also was instructed that I must bring the ring back and have them send it out again to repair the ring a third time. Of course, I refused both. I took my ring to three separate jewelers who all stated in writing that the ring did not have any prongs, the diamond was put in sideways and then covered with gold they chipped off the setting, and the other stones were lose. I was charged $644 for this *** job. One jeweler was nice enough to give me a picture of the damage and *** repair job. I was then informed with three different quotes, that to fix my ring by replacing the diamond chip and adding prongs should have cost me between $60 - $90. Repair prices were overinflated, the repairs weren't done at all, the prongs weren't done and the chip was put in wrong. I have to meet with the District Manager so she can see whether I am entitled to any kind of refund. I've filed a formal complaint with the Attorney General's Office and The Consumer Protection and Antitrust Bureau in the State of NH.

Short Review on April&nbs-04:00;19,&nbs-04:00;2017

Bought my wife an engagement ring. She has worn it for less than 2 years and a diamond has fallen out 6 times!!! We called and wanted to talk to someone and the woman was so rude. I do not get angry and rude easy but this woman flipped my switch and she got back more than she was expecting.

DISGUSTED with Belden Jewelers!

I am completely DISGUSTED with Belden Jewelers. About a year ago, I got a ring from my boyfriend for my birthday in August of 2015. It's absolutley beautiful and hands down a stunning sterling silver 1/6 karat ring. He paid around $400 for it, so obviously it wasn't just a cheap ring. About 6 months having it, one of the smaller diamonds fell out of it. Since my boyfriend bought the care plan, we brought it back to Belden's and we returned that ring and in about a week or two, they gave us a brand new ring. Then, about 2 and 1/2 weeks ago, while I was at work, ANOTHER diamond fell out of it. Let me remind you, this is a completely different ring, so it couldn't have just been that specific ring. Well, since I work in retail, and my job consists of working with a lot of clothes and whatnot, I assumed I must have hit it accidently or it got caught on something. So, about 2 weeks ago my boyfriend brought the ring back to Belden's, and the woman working was very apologetic due to the diamonds falling out TWICE. She decided to send it out to get it cleaned, get a new diamond put in it, AND to TIGHTEN the diamonds. We waited over 2 weeks to get my ring back, and WE had to call THEM because they never contacted us about it being in. Now that I got it back, I realized not to wear it to work or anywhere that I could do any damage to it. I constantly checked it throughout the day. Today, on December 6th, 2016, while I was in school, I was lookimg at my ring, and ANOTHER DIAMOND IS GONE. I realize it was the SAME diamond that was missing the SECOND time. Now, I am completely furious and upset. I will NEVER buy from Belden Jewelers again. Now, I'm going to have my boyfriend and I stick to Kay Jewelers from now on.

Customer service

worst customer service department I have ever dealt with......not only did they outright lie to us, they also refused to give us the name or phone number of their manager/supervisor or to have them call us back to discuss our problem. Every person we talked to in customer service gave us different information....no one was quite sure of what their policy really was. I will not recommend Belden jewelers or any of their associate stores to anyone, nor will I ever shop with any of them. From now on, I am going to shop at the reputable jewelers.

Ordered matching rings for our 25th Anniversary. The rings came in and they were 2 different metals staff tried to cover up the fact that Belden screwed up our order. We were never offered any discounts for our trouble. Cashiers dont know how to ring up orders. I won't shop here in the future!

SCAMMERS!!!

I purchased a necklace for a friend during the holidays, the cashier said if I signed up for the rewards card I would get a discount off my purchase I asked if it was a line of credit and he told me no. A month later my "rewards" card came and I thought nothing of it until 2 years later when my "rewards" card AKA credit line of $6000 was cancelled due to inactivity. So I was scammed into signing up for a credit line which if now affecting my credit score because it looks as though I took out a credit line and never used it.

I posted this on April 27th and checked off that my preferred solution was that I wanted my ring fixed so that I could wear it and not just look at it in its box. Today is May 27th.

It has been one month and I have not heard from them. Guess they don't care that they have lost ANOTHER good customer and ruined their name further.

I will bring it to another jeweler NOT owned by this group and have it fixed. I give up on them.

Original review Apr 27, 2016
I brought my mothers ring in to be repaired. I asked them to clean and check it before telling them it needed to be repaired, to see if they would see the problem. They didnt. They said I was all set, everything looked good. I asked why I had destroyed my favorite sweater when my ring caught on it like this, and showed them on a sweater I was wearing. Such surprise on their faces. After I pointed out which prong was the problem, they wrote it up to send out. They said it would take a couple of weeks to fix. That was fine as I was leaving the state the week after it was due back. I got the call that it was ready 2 weeks after the due date. When I got home and went to pick it up I wanted to cry. The stone was almost hidden behind the prong. I told them I could not wear it like that and that they needed to fix it. This time when it went back I recieved a call that there were multiple prongs that needed to be fixed. Its funny that when it all started I was the only one to see a problem with ONE prong...when they "fixed" the one prong it was still only the one...now they see multiple prong problems. I told them to fix the one they messed up on that I had already paid a LOT for and send the ring back to me. After getting my ring back and wearing it for less than one month I found I was missing a different stone. Wonder how that happened. I dont trust them and will NEVER go back. I wish I knew how to post a picture. I love my beautiful ring, it represents my family, and it is sitting in a box. I am VERY UNHAPPY. Anyone know how to get my name off their mailing list?

Promise Date

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
My Boyfriend purchased a beautiful birthstone/diamond ring for my Birthday. We were asked if we wanted it sized and it would take 2 weeks. 20 days later, on the "Promise Date" I went in to get my ring. I was told, 'no sorry, hasn't come in". I said, "my slip states that the Promise Date is today 3/15". She waved her hand in the air, as if to dismiss me and said, "oh, that's not really a promise, more of an estimate"....Needless to say, I wasn't pleased, told them the slips should state "estimate". Come to find out, the manager was right there, didn't bother to intervene, and point blank stated, there's nothing she can do about it. The associate did call the outsourced jeweler and found out the ring was JUST being sized at that moment. I did say we should not be charged for the sizing, and was told I could get a refund in the form of a gift card..Keep it. We will NEVER shop at Belden again.Terrible customer relations and never have I waited 20+ days for sizing. We called Belden Customer care line, they basically reiterated what the Manager said. Save your money, time and sanity and go to real jeweler

Their Jeweler is Awful!

I took in my Mother-in-law's mother ring to have two stones added to it as a Christmas Gift. I was told it would be back by December 22nd. The lady helping me at the store wrote down very specific instructions for the jeweler on where these stones should be placed on the ring. I got the call that they received it back from the jeweler on December 22nd but when I went in the stones weren't in the right spot. I had them send it back to the jeweler and was told it wouldn't be back until after Christmas because of UPS (which I understood completely) but that it shouldn't take more than 7 days. I called December 29th and was told with the weather and the holidays that it was "probably" just delayed. I called back on January 4th and was informed that it had in fact been sent back to them but was wrong again so without notifying me they sent it back to the jeweler. It was now with the "head jeweler" and should be back by Wednesday January 6th. I called on the 6th and they still hadn't received it. I was told it should now be in on January 7th or 8th. I told them if it was wrong again I did not want it sent back to the jeweler. It came in on January 7th. For all of my troubles they tried giving me a $25 gift card for a future purchase; instead, we got $65 off of this purchase so instead our total was $104. The only issue with this is that the stones that were added were raised higher on the ring than the rest of the stones. They tried to play it off like there was nothing that could be done its just how they were going to sit on the ring. After taking it to two more jewelers for a second opinion, we were told by both jewelers that the stones could be made flush. Not only that but the jeweler we decided on (Burnell's) said that Belden ruined the stones we purchased from them by setting them with heat instead of a laser. So now we are paying another $130 to fix the problems that Belden caused. I highly recommend not purchasing anything from Belden if there is any chance at all of it having to be sent to their jeweler. We had issues with there jeweler doing stuff to my engagement ring without asking as well.

Belden Jewelers - Repair Review from Hoboken, New Jersey

This place is ridiculous. I went in to get something fixed. I was told if i signed up for a rewards it would be free. I specifically asked if this meant a credit card. The women assured me it was not. All i left was my name. She asked me for my social and i said how is that relevant for a rewards card. She smiled and said its not. I asked again if this would run my credit. She said no. Rewards never do. For someone to flat out lie just so they get get a bonus or whatever os just not right. I would highly recommend for people to NOT shop here. The lady was aboit 5'6, slim, and had curly hair. She was working with another women at the time who was also 5'6, a little thicker, and was brunette. Dont trust these people. Good luck!
